The client was running its entire organization — email, calendars, and file storage — on Google Workspace, but wanted to move onto Microsoft 365 to standardize on one product ecosystem and tighten security across the company. With 750 active users depending on email and shared files every business day, the migration had to be planned tightly enough to execute over a single weekend, so employees walked in Monday morning already working in the new environment rather than facing a disruptive, drawn-out transition.
We planned the cutover in detail before touching production: provisioning the new Microsoft 365 tenant, mapping every mailbox, calendar, and shared drive, and staging the data migration so the bulk of the transfer was already complete before the weekend cutover window began. Over the course of the weekend, we migrated mail, calendars, and files for all 750 users from Google Workspace into Microsoft 365, cut over DNS and mail routing, reconfigured clients and devices, and rolled out standardized security policies through Azure AD — including conditional access and multi-factor authentication — across the new tenant.
All 750 users were migrated to Microsoft 365 with zero disruption during business hours — the entire company was working in the new environment by Monday morning. The organization is now standardized on one product suite instead of managing a patchwork of tools, with centralized, consistent security policy enforced through Azure AD across every user.
